Creating Games and Stories That Hook Players
About my Dream
Ever since I was young, I have been enchanted by video games. Cinematic worlds that hook the player into a grand living reality. Competitive challenges that bring laughs, cheers, and tears to a whole community.

This is my dream.

From writing great narratives to building and designing terrific gameplay experiences. I want to have the opportunity to build immersive experiences.

The most recent project experiences I have are Ghostly Gumshoe a submission to the game jam: Jamscepticeye, a competition with over 1250 other submissions, The Emerald Empire my summer 2025 internship, and Double Down my senior year project.
Cool Games I Made
My team, Stacked Studios submission for the Game Jam, Jamsepticeye. A detective game where you find clues and enter the world of the dead to interrogate the spirit of the victim to solve the murder case.
My summer 2025 internship with a Champlain College alumnus. A free-to-play MMO for Minecraft using the Mythic Mobs plugin mod.
My senior year team game project. A fast-paced first-person shooter roguelite with a focus on high-risk, high-reward playstyle.
My Amazing Narrative Works
These are works that I wrote in my Intermediate Creative Writing class. Beginning with two poems, one is an internal reflection on a weakness, and the other is an attempt to paint a picture with poetry.
The short stories were favorites of mine to write; it was interesting to explore some of the different ways I can tell stories and the types of stories that I could write.

In three weeks as a final for one of my courses, I decided to write a short story in the form of a film screenplay meant to replicate an old-style gangster film. It takes place in prohibition-era Chicago where our protagonist Simon must fight his way to freedom from The Chicago outfit. My professor greatly enjoyed the story and am certain you will as well.
Meet Me!
Ilan Fiarman
I'm a graduate of Champlain College (May 2025) with a B.S. in Game Design and a Minor in Interactive Narrative. As a passionate game designer, I am dedicated to building exciting and engaging experiences for players. From mechanics to narrative, I strive to create cohesive and immersive worlds that players can become lost in and enjoy just as I have with games I still love to this day. At Champlain, I led one of my college's gaming clubs, and I coordinated charity and social events. I love playing action games and homebrewed D&D campaigns with my friends.
